The April minutes were approved as changed.

Treasurer’s Report:   Balances are:  checking $2501; saving $3601; petty cash $109; total $6210.  The Ken Lou grant contains $4200. Expenses were $442.  Income was $85.

Membership:   Dennis reported that are 140 memberships (well over 200+ individuals.)

Rick T. has been assigned to talk to the Penny Saver about putting FWT in before the community organizations edition comes out next year.  FWT is absent this year.

Habitat Committee Report:  Norma reported that she got 16 responses from folks who can help along Lake Rd. to get up the honeysuckle.   The Bird Sanctuary Trails needs to have Garlic Mustard and Multi-Flora Roses eradicated.  The June 4 work party will be in the small meadow.

It is sadly reported that most of the Lupine seedlings may not have survived.

Scout Projects:  Rich reported that the UCC youth will work on July 19 and FWT must determine what the 45 youth will do.

The Eagle Scout, Nick, will build a bridge at Four Mile Creek early in the summer.  It will be a 14-foot bridge with standard design and will span a small canyon.

Trails:  At the Village Parks and Rec. Committee meeting Peter Elder talked about the Hojack project.  Hal attended and reported that it was said that the track will come up in June and they will salvage some of it but they need to leave the ties in place.  They will use the rails to build a train “turn around” East of Phillips for Xerox.

Hal will meet with Jake Swingley as some of the items should be saved as history.
Hal will ask Rail to Trail for input regarding the ties being left and covered to form the trail.

Gosnell and “The Island Bridge.”  The town and county are supposed to inspect the Lake Road culvert and formulate a plan to alleviate the excessively high water,
The gate at Gosnell parking lot will be fixed this week.

Four Mile Creek:  Joe Herbst staked out part of a parking lot but we don’t know where the South edge is to be. Hal will ask him to go out and stake it further when we have done some more clearing.  The first priority in terms of trails will be a loop trail after the bridge goes in.

Victor built a 32-foot truss bridge at the Apple Farm Trail.  Hal got the plans for that bridge as a possible answer to cross Salt Creek.

Whiting Road work day:  Attendance was 31 people including 10 Girl Scouts.

The red trail extension has been flagged for another 1/4 mile, well down in the woods and away from homes.

Chiyoda Trail – nothing new to report.

The Webster Village Rec. Committee asked for technical advice from FWT about Case Park.  The park is very wet and they need a solution.
Hal will hike Case Park and advise.

Don will add several website links to the FWT website.

FWT should look into small impromptu projects for folks who are willing to work occasionally for 2-3 hours during the week.
Hal will put out a feeler for interest to the membership.

The end.
